CANCELLED: Saturday September 20: Kind Of blue @ 2nd Story Blues
REASON: Not enough advance ticket sales. This is a new club and the only option was to buy a ticket online. Unfortunately, many of those interested in the show didn't realize that, or don't want to do that, and the owner panicked and pulled the plug Monday morning. I personally feel that they should have given the show a chance, at least while I was getting the word around at the last minute that you had to go online. I planned a nice show too. Sob!
Oh well, don't cry over spilled lighter fluid my mom always said. There are more chances to see Kind Of Blue, and Mad Dog. See Kind Of Blue at Drewstock, Sunday Sept 21, for ONE BRIEF SET. Check for the time, but it will be BRIEF: like 20 minutes. Fire and destruction? Come and find out
Saturday Sept 26 is the Blues & Brews night at Sellersville Theater, line-up is Kind Of Blue, Mad Dog & Blues Night Out, Dukes Of Destiny. Show starts at 8 pm. A beautiful theater and a beautiful night of blues and ...other stuff...kind of!
Of course there are other scattered events: Mad Dog stuff, the Thursday Night jams at Grumpys. etc. Check the schedule, and check it for changes or updates.
Oh one other item, I'm looking into a new mailing list (again) and hopefully I'll be more accurate and thorough with it. But, whenever it happens, you'll be the first to know.

The big news is the Saturday September 20th 2nd Story Blues show. Kind Of Blue will present a one - night - only show. Based on blues, rock, jazz, and fusion...I don't know what to call it...but just imagine the attitude and energy of punk rock with players capable of jazz proficiency and hot blues licks... all trying to follow an unpredictable, spontaneous leader capable of...well, literally bursting into flames. But if you do, the following Friday September 26 at the Sellersville Theater Blues & Brews night you can see an abbreviated, less flammable version as Kind Of Blue warms up for my blues mentor and harmonicus colossus Rick "Mad Dog" Moyer and his Blues Night Out Band, followed by the headlining Dukes Of Destiny from Philadelphia. This will be a great night of well, blues and brews! KOB goes on at 8 pm for 30 minutes...don't be late!
